Carved Wood Soviet-era Stylised Wall Plaque

This visually appealing wooden artwork features cream-coloured carving on a dramatic black background, and depicts a stylised scene of a river or lake and farmland. The label on the back indicates that it was bought from a state-run store (Beriozka) and was likely originally sourced from what is present-day Estonia around 1983. The plaque is in excellent condition and measures approximately 34cm tall, 22.5cm wide, with a depth of 1cm (13in by 9in by ½in). It’s quite a stunning piece.
